A quick guide to 18 fire alarm control panel and fire safety suppliers in Saudi Arabia, with contact details, listed products and indicative SAR prices.
Prices are indicative; confirm with a written quote including 15% VAT. Also known in Arabic as لوحة انذار الحريق.
The suppliers in this directory include Abu Jawaher Safety Equipment, Rimal House, Safety Dome, Masar Al Itehad For Safety Equipments Establishment, Safety Level Company, New Future Time For Safety Devices Establishment, Safe Tech Company, Shawamekh Al Jazeera Fire Safety Systems, HEBA Fire and Safety Co Ltd, Nepton Systems, Waseelah Security, SAADA & More, Awajem Security Systems Company, Volcano House Contracting Company, Systems Way, Falcon Wings Contracting Co, Al Otaishan Group For Safety and Azeidk Group. Between them they list brands and ranges such as Zeta Infinity, Lifeco, Simplex, Notifier, Dahua, Apollo and RAVEL. The suppliers are ordered by how closely their listed product matches the panel type, with conventional zone panels first, then addressable and multi-loop panels, then specialist panels and modules.
Compare suppliers on five points: panel type and zone or loop count, approvals, compatible detectors and devices, warranty and local support. A supplier that scores well on all five gives you a panel that passes inspection first time and can be serviced quickly.
| Criteria | What good looks like | Benefit to you |
|---|---|---|
| Panel type and size | Zone or loop count, sounder circuits and relay outputs stated in the quote | Right-sized panel with room to expand |
| Approvals | EN 54-2 / EN 54-4 or UL 864 listing, plus Saudi Civil Defense approval | Smooth inspection and handover |
| Compatible devices | Detectors, call points and sounders from the same range or confirmed compatible | No false alarms from mismatched devices |
| Warranty | Written warranty on the panel, power supply and batteries | Clear cover when parts fail |
| Support | Local engineers, programming support, spare parts, AMC | Panel stays online and compliant |
There are seven main types: generic conventional panels for small premises, 2 zone conventional panels for very small sites, 4 and 8 zone panels for small buildings, addressable panels for mid-size buildings, multi-loop addressable panels for large projects, agent release panels for gas suppression rooms and GSM control panels or communicators for remote alerts.
| Panel type | Best for | Typical features | Indicative price (SAR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Generic conventional fire alarm control panel | Shops, offices, stores, villas | Detector zones, sounder outputs, fault and alarm relays, battery backup | 250-2,000 |
| 2 zone conventional fire alarm panel | Small shops, clinics, kiosks, single-floor units | Two detection zones, one or two sounder circuits | 250-700 |
| 4 and 8 zone conventional panel | Small buildings, floor-by-floor zoning | 4 or 8 zones, LED zone indicators, optional battery | 400-2,000 |
| Addressable panel (1-2 loops) | Mid-size and multi-floor buildings | Every device has an address, exact device location on the display | 2,500-9,000 |
| Multi-loop addressable (4+ loops) | Towers, malls, hospitals, campuses | Several loops, large device capacity, networking, event logs | 12,000-40,000+ |
| Agent release panel | Server rooms, electrical rooms, gas suppression | Multi-zone release logic, release outputs, LED indications | 2,500-8,000 |
| GSM control panel / communicator | Unmanned premises, villas, warehouses | SMS or call alerts on alarm and fault, mobile SIM | 300-1,500 |
What most buyers miss: The panel is only part of the system. Ask for the zone or loop count, the number of sounder circuits and the battery size on the quote, and confirm the detectors you plan to use are compatible with the panel.
A 2 zone conventional fire alarm panel monitors two separate circuits. Each zone can carry several smoke or heat detectors and manual call points. When a device activates, the panel lights the zone indicator, sounds the alarm and operates its output relays. It is the simplest and lowest-cost panel type.
Choose 4 or 8 zones if the building has several floors, separate fire compartments or you expect to extend the system. Moving to a bigger panel later means replacing the panel, while a bigger panel now just leaves spare zones.
In a 2 wire conventional system, each zone is a loop of two-core cable running from the panel through every detector base and call point to an end-of-line (EOL) device. The panel sends a small monitoring current through the circuit. When a detector or call point activates, the current rises and the panel signals alarm. If the cable breaks, the monitoring current drops and the panel signals an open-circuit fault.
| Feature | Conventional panel | Addressable panel |
|---|---|---|
| What the panel shows | The zone in alarm | The exact device in alarm or fault |
| Wiring | Separate zone circuits with end-of-line devices | Loop cabling, devices share a pair of wires |
| Fault finding | By zone, then by checking devices | Down to the device and often the fault type |
| Cost | Lower panel and detector cost | Higher panel and device cost |
| Best for | Small to mid-size premises | Larger, multi-floor and complex buildings |
| Expansion | Limited by zone count | Add devices to the loop up to its capacity |
A GSM control panel, or GSM communicator, connects to the alarm and fault outputs of a fire alarm panel and sends an SMS or phone call to preset mobile numbers when an event occurs. Some units also report mains failure, battery fault and zone faults, and let you check status by text message.
Safety note: A GSM alert does not replace local sounders. The building must still warn the people inside it. Ask the supplier which panels and GSM communicators they stock and which combinations they have tested together.
Plan at least one zone for every floor or fire compartment, then split larger floors so that no zone is bigger than your project code allows. Zone size limits come from the code your consultant follows, for example BS 5839-1 or NFPA 72, together with Saudi Building Code SBC 801, so confirm the limit before choosing a panel.
| Premises | Typical panel | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Kiosk, small shop, single-room clinic | 2 zone conventional | Two areas to monitor, lowest cost |
| Shop with storeroom and mezzanine, small office | 4 zone conventional | Separate zones for each area or floor |
| Small building with several floors or staff accommodation | 8 zone conventional or 1 loop addressable | More zones, or device-level location |
| Hotel, hospital, school, mid-size office block | Addressable, 1-2 loops | Exact device location and easier maintenance |
| Tower, mall, campus | Multi-loop addressable, 4 loops or more, networked | Large capacity and central control |
| Server room, data room, switch room | Agent release panel | Controls gas suppression release |
| Standard / approval | What it covers | When to ask for it |
|---|---|---|
| EN 54-2 | Fire detection control and indicating equipment | Any European-style panel |
| EN 54-4 | Power supply equipment for fire detection systems | To confirm the panel power supply and battery charger are approved |
| UL 864 | Control units for fire alarm systems | US-style panels such as Simplex or Notifier ranges |
| NFPA 72 / BS 5839-1 | Design and installation codes | To confirm zoning, cabling and device spacing rules |
| Saudi Building Code SBC 801 | Fire protection requirements for buildings in Saudi Arabia | Every project in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and other cities |
| SASO / SABER conformity | Product conformity for imported goods | Ask the importer whether it applies to the panel and devices |
| Saudi Civil Defense approval | Approval of fire and life-safety equipment and inspection of the installed system | Before ordering and before handover |
| Parameter | What to look for | What to ask the supplier |
|---|---|---|
| Panel model and brand | Exact model number and country of origin | Datasheet and approval certificates |
| Zones or loops | Number of zones or loops and device capacity | Spare capacity for future expansion |
| Outputs | Sounder circuits, alarm and fault relays, auxiliary outputs | Which are included and which need extra modules |
| Power supply and battery | Mains rating, charger, battery size and standby time | Battery brand, size and replacement price |
| Remote alerts | GSM communicator or network card options | Which units are tested with this panel |
| Detectors and devices | Compatible detectors, call points and sounders | Whether devices are included in the price |
| Commissioning | Programming, testing and handover documents | Who is responsible for Civil Defense inspection |
| Warranty and service | Warranty period and AMC option | Response time for breakdown calls |

When comparing fire alarm control panel suppliers in Saudi Arabia, consider the following factors:
Fire alarm systems in Saudi Arabia are designed to the Saudi Building Code fire protection requirements (SBC 801) and the Civil Defense rules for the building type. The panel, detectors, sounders and cabling are normally shown on drawings approved before installation, then inspected by Civil Defense before the building can be occupied or the safety certificate is issued. Local procedures can differ between Riyadh, Jeddah, the Eastern Province and smaller cities, so confirm the current process with your fire consultant or Civil Defense office.
| City / region | What to confirm | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Riyadh | Civil Defense approval of drawings, panel and device certificates, summer heat rating of the panel location | Large commercial, government and mixed-use projects usually need approved, documented systems |
| Jeddah and Makkah region | Corrosion-resistant enclosures and cable glands for humid and coastal air, plus approved devices | Humidity and salt air shorten the life of terminals and batteries |
| Dammam, Khobar and Eastern Province | Dust protection, humidity and approvals for industrial and oil and gas related sites | Industrial sites often have stricter specifications and dusty environments |
| Madinah, Jubail, Yanbu and other cities | Local Civil Defense requirements and service coverage from the supplier | Support and spare parts may need longer delivery times outside the main cities |
What most buyers miss: Ask the supplier where their service engineers are based. A panel that needs a visit in Dammam or Madinah is only as good as the nearest technician, so get the response time for your city in writing.
| If you need... | Look at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A 2 zone or small conventional panel | Abu Jawaher Safety Equipment, Rimal House, Masar Al Itehad, Safety Level Company | Conventional and generic panels for small premises |

A 2 zone conventional panel typically costs SAR 250-700, a 4 to 8 zone panel SAR 400-2,000, a one or two-loop addressable panel SAR 2,500-9,000 and a multi-loop panel from SAR 12,000. Detectors, call points, sounders, cable, battery replacement, programming and Civil Defense inspection are usually quoted separately.
| Item | Indicative cost (SAR) |
|---|---|
| Conventional smoke detector with base | 35-120 each |
| Conventional heat detector with base | 35-120 each |
| Manual call point | 40-150 each |

What most buyers miss: Ask for the replacement battery price, delivery time to your city and the cost of a second-year service visit. Panels are cheap compared with the cost of keeping them working for ten years.
Safety note: Fire alarm panels should be installed, programmed and tested by a trained and licensed fire alarm technician. Never disable devices or isolate zones without the building manager knowing, and always restore them after work.
| Fault | Likely cause | First check |
|---|---|---|
| Zone open circuit | Broken cable, loose terminal, missing detector or missing end-of-line device | Check the zone cable, detector bases and end-of-line device |
| Zone short circuit | Damaged cable or wrong wiring | Isolate the zone and check the cable |
| Earth fault | Damaged cable insulation or moisture | Disconnect zones one at a time to find the fault |
| Mains fail | Power cut or tripped isolator | Check the supply and isolator; the battery keeps the panel running meanwhile |
| Battery fault | Disconnected, flat or old battery | Check connections and replace the battery if it is old |
| Sounder circuit fault | Open or short circuit on the sounder cable | Check the sounder wiring and end-of-line device |
Fault messages vary by brand, so check the panel manual and call your service company if the fault does not clear.
Heat shortens the life of sealed lead-acid batteries, so panels in hot plant rooms or unair-conditioned stores need earlier battery replacement. Keep the panel in a ventilated, accessible location and away from direct sun.
Yes for most commercial sites. An AMC normally covers scheduled visits, testing, a written report and priority breakdown response. Ask what parts are included and the response time in writing.
A 2 zone conventional fire alarm panel monitors two separate detection circuits (zones). Smoke detectors, heat detectors and manual call points are wired onto each zone, and the panel shows which zone is in alarm or fault. It suits small shops, clinics, stores and single-floor offices where two zones are enough.
It means detectors and call points on a zone are connected with a single two-core cable loop that carries both power and the alarm signal, ending in an end-of-line device. The panel can tell you which zone is in alarm but not which individual detector triggered it.
A conventional panel reports by zone. An addressable panel gives every detector and module its own address, so it shows the exact device in alarm or fault. Addressable panels cost more but suit larger or multi-floor buildings.
A GSM control panel, or GSM communicator, sends SMS messages or phone calls to preset mobile numbers when the fire panel reports an alarm or fault. It is useful for unmanned or remote premises. It supplements the local sounders and any monitoring your Civil Defense approval requires; it does not replace them.
Generic fire alarm control panel is the general listing term for a standard control and indicating panel that receives signals from detectors and call points, shows alarm and fault status and drives sounders. Always confirm the brand, zone or loop count, and the EN 54-2 or UL 864 approval on the quote.
Plan at least one zone per floor or fire compartment, then add zones so no zone exceeds the floor area your project code allows. Choose a panel with spare zones for future expansion. Your fire consultant or the Civil Defense approval drawings set the final number.
Fire alarm systems in Saudi buildings are generally expected to meet Saudi Building Code SBC 801 fire protection requirements and to be inspected by the General Directorate of Civil Defense before the building is occupied. Ask the supplier for the Civil Defense approval, product certificates and test reports, and confirm the exact requirements for your city with your fire consultant.
An agent release panel controls gas or other extinguishing agent discharge in protected rooms such as server rooms and electrical rooms. It takes inputs from detectors, applies the release logic and sends signals to the release devices.
Sealed lead-acid standby batteries commonly last around three to five years, depending on temperature and charging. Heat shortens battery life, so test and replace on schedule.
Commercial and most residential buildings in Saudi Arabia need their fire alarm system designed to Saudi Building Code SBC 801 and approved and inspected by Civil Defense. Requirements can vary by building type and city, so ask your fire consultant and use panels and devices with the approvals Civil Defense accepts.
Any of the main Saudi operators, STC, Mobily or Zain, can work. Choose the one with the strongest signal at the panel location, and ask the supplier which networks and bands their GSM communicator supports.
For a small shop, store or villa a 2 zone or 4 zone conventional panel is usually enough. If you want to know exactly which detector is in alarm, or the building has several floors, step up to a one-loop addressable panel.
