The GEA RedAstrum heat pump offers maximum efficiency in transferring heat to a liquid heat carrier, providing industrial applications and local or district heating networks with supply temperatures between +55 and +80°C / +131 and +176°F – higher temperatures being available on request
The GEA RedAstrum’s wide temperature range enables it to use heat from waste, ground, or surface water between -10 and +50°C / +14 and +122°F or even secondary refrigerants for combined cooling and heating applications
Alternatively, it can be equipped with a cascade evaporator charged with hot ammonia gas directly from a refrigeration plant – using the wide temperature range for maximally efficient waste heat recovery
The GEA RedAstrum offers a wide capacity range from approximately 750 to 2.900 kW / 2,559 to 9,895 MBH
