AISI 4130 is commonly used in oil & gas applications such as downhole tool collars, drill pipes, pressure vessel shells, manifolds, and BOP components; aerospace applications including structural tubing, airframe members, landing gear components, and engine mounts; automotive applications such as roll cages, chassis tubes, suspension components, and axle shafts; general engineering applications including gears, shafts, spindles, bolts, and high-tensile-strength fasteners; and marine/offshore applications such as subsea structural components, crane pins, and mooring equipment.
