Saudi Leather Industries Company SLIC main productions are work, military and casual footwear.  The shoes are manufactured in the company’s factory located in the second industrial city of Dammam, Eastern Province, with a total area of 15,000 m2. SLIC is the major supplier to most of the companies in the Kingdom. Just to name a few are Saudi ARAMCO, Saudi Electricity Company, SABIC, Saudi Arabian Airlines, LUBREF and others. SLIC was established in 1981 as a joint venture with the American Wolverine world wide company under the name Saudi Shoes Company. In 1984, the Saudi owners have bought the market share of the American partner so then the company became totally Saudi Owned company. In the beginning SLIC focused only on producing work and military footwear. In 1998, it took a step forward in its development and added a new production line to produce “comfort shoe” brand for men. Starting from 2005, the company name has been changed to Saudi Leather Industries Company (SLIC) as a specialized company in all leather industries. The company went through many stages of expansion.
